For several years, it has been possible to state that Social Media have definitively become part of the daily and social life of individuals. A phenomenon that initially involved the so-called "digital natives”, so those born and raised in the digital age that with the passage of time, has also begun to affect older generations. Looking also towards the panorama of influencers, it seems almost surreal to think how easy it is to get into someone’s private space (some people share thousands if not millions of one's own home walls with an audience of followers eager to learn more and more details about the lives of these characters.)

However, if on the one hand social media are seen in a negative way, like a source of alienation and distraction from reality, on the other hand the digital universe has allowed a large slice of the population on a global scale to shorten distances and make all part of one large community. By analyzing the data that emerged from the lockdown months, it is in fact possible to note that there has been a significant increase in downloads of social networks, in particular of TikTok. Not only! The creators of the various platforms also had to implement new features to keep up with the growing change that the communications landscape was undergoing. The need to feel close, even when physical proximity was not possible, has made all teleconferencing systems (such as Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.) proliferate, bringing both work and study into another dimension: the online one.
